Missions at Salem Road includes support of 11 missionary families and 7 nonprofit organizations along with other needs that come up during the year. Our budget stays close to 15% of our annual church budget.
Weekly worship service (child care for 3 and under) - 9:30 am
Sunday school for all ages (September - May) - 11:00 am
Middle school and high school programs - Our youth ministry at SRCC exists to encourage and equip youth to love and serve Jesus Christ through relationships, outreach and training. Our high schoolers meet weekly on Sunday morning and again on Monday night. Our middle schoolers meet weekly on Sunday morning and again on Wednesday night. All of our youth are involved in Teens In Action, our monthly community outreach, as well as various mission trips and events throughout the year. For more information, please see our youth page.
Women's Ministries - From weekly Bible studies to craft nights to an online chat board, our opportunities to connect with other women at SRCC aim to meet the needs of women of all ages and backgrounds. Please see our Women's Ministries page for details about these programs and more!
Men's Ministries - The goals of Men's Ministries are to develop male friendships that will bridge the age gap between the younger and older men of SRCC, to share knowledge and experiences with each other that will provide an honest forum for males to grow spiritually and emotionally, to develop stronger friendships with others, and to keep each other accountable for who we are, Men of God. Summer camps for youth, retreats for families, retreats for men, and retreats for women at Lake Beauty Bible Camp - Lake Beauty Bible Camp offers children, youth and families opportunities to "get away with God". From weeklong summer camps to weekend retreats, Lake Beauty offers an ideal setting for us to set aside our schedules and join together with other Christians around the state for relaxing, reflecting and re-creating. With excellent speakers and staff, a beautiful setting and a myriad of opportunities for fun and rest, Lake Beauty is a wonderful place to meet with God.
Elder Network - Salem Road Care Crew works with the Faith in Action Program of Elder Network, a Rochester area organization, to provide needed care for the elderly in our community. Salem Road members started in January 2005 and over 27 volunteers have put in hundreds of hours. This includes friendly visits, shopping assistance, calling people who live alone and need a check-in call each day, transportation service to medical appointments and other places, home repairs and chores, and knitting prayer shawls.
Friendship Place - Friendship Place is an after school program run by area churches for needy multi-ethnic youth in our community. The afternoon program for elementary age kids provides homework help, teaching skills like sewing, knitting, and woodworking, games and other activities along with snacks. The evening program for middle and high school students provides homework tutoring and computer training. Salem Road is a participating church and has a member on the Friendship Place board.
Ghana Mission Trip - Members of our congregation are active participants in the Navigator's Africa Partner's medical mission conference, held annually in Ghana.
Zambia Mission Trip - Members of our congregation go to Zambia annually, bringing medical supplies and helping in a variety of ways.
